I am 5'0'' and 85 lbs. (skinny). What clothing styles look best on my body type? I've been buying boot cut jeans, but I hate them because the flare is so wide. Should I buy straight leg jeans or just a more narrow boot cut? And any sugestions on tops and jackets?

you have the perfect body style for MANY types of outfits.
long, flowing blowses look VERY good on skinny girls. and also straight dresses that most girls with too much curve could NOT pull off.
i would go for a more narrow boot cut...you can have a little flar...just nothing TOO dramatic...dysco fever is way over. =P
you might try a few straight jeans just to see....
but i would definitely try some longer tops and flowing blowses....because i just know those would look stunning on you.
and they have some VERY cute flats (since i know you don't like heals) at Kohl's this spring season...and shoe carnival as well.

There are plenty of cute flat shoes out there right now. Since you're so tiny, steer clear of too much volume in your clothes b/c it will just make you look shorter. Those cute cropped jackets with tanks underneath would lengthen your torso, and help play it up if you've got a small bust. Straight leg jeans in dark colors will keep the eyes moving up.

Im small and slim like you.
I think the things that suit me best are bootcut or ones with a very slight flare (not too much thou) they look good if you wear them with heels. Get them a length where they hang over the heel nicely - it makes your leg look lots longer... so makes you appear taller. As you are slim go for ones that are a good fit around the hips, waist , butt etc.
You are petite so show it off! :)
I think fitted clothing looks best. If you are small busted wear tshirt type bras and tight tshirt tops... halter tops also look good on us slim girls and they make your boobs look bigger too!
I also wear skinny jeans and tuck them into my boots - this looks so cute!
As for jackets I find fitted style ones look best. I have one with a belt around the middle which is nice as it gives the illsuion of more curves nips you in at the waist but makes you look like you are curvier on hips.
As for heels wear them if you want to but dont feel you have too. I normally just wear low ones that give me about 2 inches... I think short girls who wear high heels just look stupid as if they are trying to hard to deperatly be tall!

You should go with straight leg jeans, and tailored jackets that emphasize the chest or shoulder area. This will take away from that "too skinny" look.

Girlfriend, go for the narrow boot cut, or slight flare, girls (of any age) should NEVER NEVER NEVER! wear tapered leg or straight leg jeans!

The lady on "What Not to Wear" says that shorter ladies shouldn't wear bootcut because they'll make your legs look shorter. She says straight leg will work better for your height.

depends... are you BOY or GIRL??? well for girls... i suggest comfortable jeans... a little tight but not too tight, some tank tops. anything that shows off your figure. boy??? well i think guys look HOT in polo shirts. i think guys look even hotter in abercrombie.

u should wear baggin clothes, like prep surfrer boy, to give ur body more definition, try hollister abercrombie or areopostale. perfect!
