As with most PC's you buy off the shelf these days, I didn't get a Win XP CD with my Compaq Presario SR1503WM. Which has the Intel Celeron D. I also have a Radeon 9200 series graphics card. That's my setup. Here is the question...

I want to uninstall everything on the hardrive and start fresh like a new computer. How can I do this?

Forget the "with most PCs you buy off the shelf" stuff - they are required to give you an installation disk if you ask - since you have already paid for it when you bought the computer. So talk to the people who sold you the PC first.

If this doesn't help, you'll have to get a WinXP disk legally - unregistered copies of XP don't work very well (you can't get updates and patches), and constantly remind you to register it - for 30 days. After that, it usually won't work at all.

Otherwise, you'll have to work around your computer problems as best you can.

First go buy a new O/S CD, then go to my computer, and then right click on my computer, and then go to explore and select "C" drive.
Then, right click on the "C" drive and select
FORMAT. Then say yes, and it will be done.
Then reboot and then install your new CD O/S.
Then U R done.
NOW U can do whatever U want with what U have including all the hardware and any software U want to install.
