It's pretty hot and humid. Usually the temp runs from low 80s to low 100s, with a heat index (how hot it feels). It is usually very humid, but it is cooler near the lake! We get some pretty nasty T-storms as well in the summer, but last summer we didn't get much rain, grass was brown everywhere. (In the suburbs, we have water restrictions.) As for the wind, well, we have windy days and not-so-windy days. When the wind picks up, you have fair warning a storm is on the way.

Temperatures usually range from 70s to 90s, with some years reaching into the low 100s like last summer. Chicago is a.k.a. The Windy City, so that may answer the wind question. It rains but everyday, no. But we'll have our bouts of rainy weeks and severe thunderstorms. If you need more info, just contact me.
Oh, and watch out--it gets HUMID! (That's the worst part of summer.) Plenty of activities to do in the summer, though! Good luck!!

Very warm and humid - usually ranging in the 80's with 70 to 80% humidity. It can get very sticky at times, though because it's not as hot as, say, Atlanta or Houston, it's not quite as bad. There isn't too much wind in the summer, and most of the rain is in the spring, so summer is quite pleasant most of the time.

It's very hot and humid. The humidity is really the killer in Chicago. Not much rain, and really not all that windy during the summer.
