Former Deputy Interior Secretary J. Steven Griles pleaded guilty Friday to obstruction of justice in a Senate committee's investigation, becoming the highest-ranking Bush administration official convicted in the Jack Abramoff corruption scandal.
The former No. 2 official in the Interior Department admitted in federal court that he lied to the Senate about his relationship with convicted lobbyist Abramoff, who repeatedly sought Griles' intervention at the agency on behalf of Abramoff's Indian tribal clients.

it's sad we're at that point... and let's remember, these are the same people that were "bringing morality back to the office of the President"...

Just another day at the office, I am real surprised that you haven't got an answer that Clinton was to blame. This administration has been the most criminal and corrupt that I have seen in my 61 years, remember I seen the likes of Nixon (Watergate and its ensuing cover up) Reagan (Iran/ Contra.) Bush Sr. (Shaking Saddam's hand, after selling him the arms and weapons of mass destruction). .
