HELP WITH MySQL?

I downloaded mysql off the internet of w3schools.com it downloaded in a compressed folder how do i get onto mysql and are there any programs i need for it to work

You have no clue what MySQL is, do you?
One; it is a relational database, SQL stands for; "Structured Query Language".
It allows those that know, to do adhock queries (ask) search of a relational database.
I would suggest, if you are interested that you get book on the subject. I would suggest doing a search on MySQL for books on it or find a site that is willing to teach you how to use it.

Most hosts will only allow MySQL to be used on their host's sites. MySQL is also an open source relational database.
