I would take a bag and go house to house asking for dryer lint. When I got several bags of it I would use it to fluff up my nest. I would get some bungee cords and rope to secure my nest too. Next I would think about some rain cover, a tarp or a roof of some sort. This could keep me busy until my bird eggs were ready to be laid.
