Depends on the definition of "world". The world can be your personal life, your country, the religious world, the humans on this planet, the Solar System, The Milky Way or the entire Universe.
Remember that the end is only the beginning.

Hokay, so... here's the earth...

I definitely agree with the person who pointed out that "world" can be many things. I'm pretty sure the "world" as in "planet earth" will survive long after the human race has petered out.

Most likely wars will be the end of the world as we know it (considering countries, languages, economics, etc) and nuclear power and disease will be the end of living things (all animals, plants, diseases themselves, etc).
The end of the earth will most likely occur slowly over time of being hit with meteors, or getting too close to the sun and melting or something.

Otherwise, us Californians just have to worry about breaking off from the U.S. to go hang with Hawaii...

when people discover the true path to god is the wisdom that lies within the truth, and fact of how if people can learn multiple languages, then they have no idea what their voice is for,
so maybe god understands every reason under the sun that we use the words we do, and they carry meaning of the question,Which is more important, the thing the word is talking about, or the thing that uses a word,

and gods study of time and relationships between people, carry alot of the load in the time he spends , writing real, things with words, so that is why we have no respect for god,

by behaving like anything we see, we can touch.,, and belive someone thinks we made something important

Us. Look around. Look at the news. The end has started. The Polar Icecaps will melt, a meteorite will crash in 2012 or 2049, and a world-wide virus will infect us all.

the end of the world is something very different from the end of the human race. what will happen first is still yet to be decided. the sun could go dwarf and suck our planet into it and burn it. this would be the end of the world. but by that time, hopefully, we will have figured out how to terraform other planets and we'll have safe habitats outside of our earth. maybe on one of the moons of saturn or jupiter. or maybe on planets from other solar systems.

The end is tomorrow if you don't exist tomorrow. It is when you cease to exist that your world ends. But this only means that everyone elses world continues until they cease to exist. When all ceases to exist, then the world will truly cease to exist because it is existance that keeps the world from ending.

Since I am religious, I would have to say that it will be caused by the second coming of Jesus.

If I wasn't religious, I would say that it is more likely that some people will escape Earth before it is annihilated, and it will allow the human race to be preserved and repopulate the Earth over and over again.
