My antenna on my 94 Accord 4 dr EX goes down almost all the way and stops about 4 inches from the bottom and starts grinding. Is there an easy way to replace the nylon cord that runs throuhg it? If so how do I do it or where can I find easy to fix insructions with pictures? Thanks

Try the Chilton repair manuals. I use these manuals all the time. They have pictures and treat the reader like a do-it-yourself-er not an automotive engineer. If you read the procedure first it tells you if you need a special tool or fastener. That keeps you from having to stop and run off to the tool store or dealership. These manuals are available at retail auto parts stores and on-line.

The Chilton manuals should do the trick for the pictures and instructions, mechanics use them all the time. It is a fixable part, pretty much everything on those type of Accords are. The early 90's Hondas and older are the easiest to work on and if you do need new parts, they are easy to comeby at junkyards or Honda parts department, and usually are pretty cheap.
Last year, we had to get my friend's antenna "unstuck" in her 92 Accord and we ended up pulling it out with pliers and then greasing it up and it worked fine after that, didn't get stuck anymore, and we didn't have to use any parts either. You may want to try that technique (if you haven't already) first.

You can purchase just plastic strip at the Honda dealership, when you purchase it, ask the part man to show you how to do it.. all you do is take the bolt out of the center part of motor and with the antenna in the up position place the new strip and let it feed on the way down..

Far as I remember this is not a repairable item, so you have to replace the whole antenna.
