As a person who does not stick to party lines and is registered Independent......we finally have a question that could promote a true advance in thought to our future. Yet, all we can get is WHAA! Come on you folks on the left side of the B.S....give us something real! Why would I vote for the left if this is all there is? I am listening........

A new president should actually go after the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11. Al-Qaeda and the Taliban are forming a new stronghold on the border along Afghanistan and Pakistan. We need to send a decent size force there and finish what we started to do in 2001.
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, there was no al-Qaeda presense in Iraq, until after we invaded and toppled Saddam. We also need to focus our efforts in removing al-Qaeda from Iraq.
Our borders are out of control, gotta do something about that, we can't have a president who favors a blanket amnesty, or what Bush calls "migration reform". We need to secure our borders, build that damn fence.

The problem is that you conservatives have yet to prove that Iraq has anything to do with terrorism. All of the official accounts say that terrorists are the minority in Iraqi insurgents. The worse case scenario of Iraq is they have a civil war and nothing happens to us except oil prices rising a bit.
Where is the imminent threat?

There were no terrorist in Iraq until Bush invaded. The terrorist camps were and still are in Afghanistan. That is where we should concentrate our efforts.
