How can people tell If they are olive color or tan color of skin?

I do not know If I am an olive color or not .

Olive skin is a bit darker than medium skintones, but it encompasses a lot of colors. Jessica Alba has olive-toned skin. Tan/olive are similar i guess. Usually olive means your natural color, though. Like a naturally pale person with a tan doesn't have olive skin, they're simply tanned.

usually it's greek people who are described as olive skinned. Here's a picture of someone with that sort of skin.

And tan is usually a browner version of white skin.
