Especially when they don't even answer the question.
Some people on this site have dyslexia, and I'm pleased to see them here. It bugs me when other people knock their self confidence.
Even if a q is a bit difficult to understand I'll give it a go because not everyone has great English skills. I just don't answer questions that are in text speak.

I understand where you're coming from but when you know and value the English language it is very annoying also to see it being abused, as is more and more often the case these days! Mobile phone text language is generally accepted by most people although it does alter the way words are presented and sentences structured! If you learn to speak properly and write using correct spelling and punctuation, it will help not only in the presentation of a good letter or document, but also in the way your are perceived as a human being, able to hold a rational and sensible conversation. I don't want to "look smart". I just want a return to the correct use of a rich and wonderful language!

Try: "Does anyone else find those who comment on your typing, grammar, and punctuation to be a tad annoying?"

'Little' suggests a *physical* attribute. For example, "...a little girl with a bright pink bow in her hair and eyes of the deepest azure jumped out from behind the bookcase and punched me square in the nose."

Then go on to try: "Why comment - it's not as if you can teach them English anyway. Suggesting that their spelling and punctuation is substandard only goes on to prove that you're a pedantic swine with no tolerance of those with a lesser intellect."

Anyway, I agree with both your question and statement. However, I take exception over your gratuitous use of The Exclamation Mark.

I won't generally comment on bad spelling and grammar but when you can't actually interpret what somebody is trying to say then I think it's necessary to say something.

I don't like text talk because it just seems like the person is too lazy to write properly and when somebody writes something correctly it's easier to read, you don't have to think about what they mean or interpret every word by adding the vowels.

I think I notice bad grammar etc. because I have to analyse every sentence I write in essays to make sure it's all correct - and I have to write a lot of essays! I guess that has made it almost natural for me to be annoyed when people don't bother to apply the basics when they write.

Oh yea! What they are trying to tell you is that these things matter! It is hard to know what you are asking if the punctuation and grammar are hard to understand. Everyone can improve in something! You seem to be able to spell annoying and tedious. Those are not words from elementary school, so you could make more effort to help the rest of us understand you.

Very tedious is it? Not half as tedious as trying to make out what the heck some people are trying to say with their atrocious spelling, bad grammar and no punctuation.

It is a little bit tedious but I think its just better 'manners' to type in full text so its more understandable. I don't see any problem in errors in the typing grammar and punctuation as long as it is readable.

Yes, especially when the meaning of what someone is saying is obvious. I'm very much of the opinion that as long as you are understood then it is okay, especially as a lot of spelling and typos are easily rectified in the real world with spellcheck etc. I'd rather people were communicating than worrying about what they are saying all the time.

It's not just that people can't spell, they can't talk properly either. There is no need for bad spelling. There is spell check after all. People can't seem to pronounce "th" words these days. I'm sick of hearing fought instead of thought, and Fursday as a day of the week. When did people sawr things as well? There is NO r in saw. People who can't spell or construct sentences properly are surely too stupid to be allowed access to a computer. They also should not be allowed to breed! There are too many illiterates already.
