you should create the need from your customers... in marketing your product you have to understand the basic 4Ps - Price, Product, Promotion and Placement (or Distribution)...

All these four should make a good mix... Price - elaborate that your product provides great value for their money... Product - emphasize on how much they would benefit from it.. remember FEATURES TELL BENEFITS SELL... Promotion - there is no standard type of promotion for all products. It may be house to house (personal selling), wide advertising (print, radio,tv) or thru special promos (discounts, freebies and rebates)... Make a good byline for you ads though... better make it catchy yet simple... PLACEMENT is about how you will distribute your product, how accessible it is for your market... ensure that it is readily available for them...

Sit down on it and analyze how you fair in those four aspects... There are also outside factors that may influence the selling of your product but basically those that i mentioned are the most important you should really look into

Give them deals and little things that make them come back like buy 5 and get one free cards.... Where is your store located??? Thats the important part... What do you sell.... Make promotions.... People need to feel wanted.... hows the staff???

Bury it then after two decades dig it back & try convince the people that it's an antique you found from treasure hunting. Maybe they will buy it or your stories.

give it out for free if one buys a products that they want .. by the way are you trying to get rid of it or to increase its sales?

it all depends on how you sell it, how you market it.
try selling it on ebay and advertise your product well.
make promos, for example, make it buy one take one, or give discounts, make it 50% off.

Make it cheaper and no matter how useless it may be for people, it would stiull be bought.
