To costly. When one has to pay for injuries or certain surgeries, it can cost thousands. Here in Canada, we get it free. A freind had his broken arm looked at in Florida and then casted. It cost $5,000. Here it cost nothing, zero.
Plus, when you pay lower taxes in any country, then the health services are not available for lack of money by the Government.

The current health (non)care system is out for one thing and one thing only, the bucks. Corporate hospitals don't give a rat's a** about people. The hospitals pressure the doctors into prescribing unneeded test and unneeded procedures just so they can break it off in the people. If there was anything in this country that needs to be run on a noncorporate basis then it is the health care system. It has gotten to the point that a middle class person, much less a person of lower economic standing, can afford to get sick. We all will wake up someday soon and find that we will not be able to afford to have a common cold, the cost would just be too prohibitive!!
The current status of the health care system is in dire need of overhaul.

Ted is so full of it !! It does not cost $5000 to set an ARM !!! What a crock. There is no American health Care System... it varies from state to state. How good is the Canadian health care system? Recently, here on Yahoo, a young woman was concerned she might have breast cancer. The waiting time in Canada .... thirteen weeks for a mammogram. My doctor would have it scheduled the next day. It really depends on the state and the HMO offered.

Completely against. When you go into the hospital for any reason, the first thing they ask you is if you have health insurance. They care more about that than the patient. Its ridiculous.
