The PSP is not getting a price drop for a while.
Maybe a year... I would be surprised if it happens that soon.
Its been out two years and there has not been a single price drop. All that happened was the core package... which takes out a bit.
The only reason it might drop is if the PSP2 is released, and so far some information was leaked from Sony of Europe, but no one knows if it is creditable.
The price has been rumored to drop by "industry experts" about 3 or 4 times. When a decent group of these experts agreed... well nothing ever happened.
And, the iPod's price has never dropped, they just made a cheaper unit with half the capacity.
If you need a cheap psp, go to superufo.com
They have cheap whole PSPs, good shipping and they have all the colors.

After it gets old the prices will start to decrease. The psp is cheaper right now than when it first came out.

they always do. for everything. prices are up at first, then they go down after a while. same with tvs, dvd players, ipods, ect............
