I usually give about $4 to $5 dollar's and consider the price of gas and all the running they do. I think one or three is kinda cheap and cheesy. And consider unfortunatly a lot of people don't tip at all. Believe it or not. As I once did it as a side job. And five is a fair tip and not to much on the customer. If you can give more then that would be up to you. Also depend's on how much you order and what your bill is. If your having a party and your bill is like 50 to 100 then obviously you would give more. But if your a normal customer just ordering one or two pizza's then $5 is a fair tip. If you give to much and order a lot they will always expect it. Except on holiday's then I alway's give extra. If your on a limited income then give what you can but I would still say $5 is a good answer. I usually give $5 if I'm only ordering a pizza

For a typical family pizza dinner, tip $4-$6. For one college guy getting a late night snack, tip $2-$4. For a party or other bigger event, each person eating should tip $2-$4.

It doesn't matter that pizza delivery people get a dollar or two more per hour than waiters. It's still a paltry amount of money. Delivery people and waiters live on their tips. But...waiters only have to walk from the restaurant's kitchen to your table. They didn't have to drive their car there in whatever kind of ungodly weather is out there. They didn't have to fend off unruly dogs. They didn't have to find an unlit house on a back road in the dark.

It doesn't matter how far you live from the pizza place. The delivery guy saved you the inconvenience of having to get dressed and leave your house/of having to deal with getting your kids in the car/of missing who got voted off Idol this week/etc...

It doesn't matter how much the order cost you. The delivery guy still had to do the same amount of driving and put the same amount of wear and tear on his car.

Tip as much as you can afford. I would not even consider giving less than $5. If you have extra cash, why not give a $20 tip? How happy might that make someone? I like to try and make people's nights better, and remember...they know where you live!

I typically tip $1-2 but there is no standard tip rule, I think this confuses most people. Often Pizza places charge delivery charges and pizza delivery people are paid more than waiters and waitresses. ..so don't feel bad if you under tip

If a pizza is usually about 20 dollars, just give him 15% which is 3 dollars. A 15 dollar pizza with a 15% tip is a 2.25 tip. dont give any less than 15 percent. its cheap. but if thats really all you can afford, a 10% tip of 20 dollars is 1.50.

If the pizza is 20 bucks, give him five bucks. The tip goes down in my opinion if they are really slow past their estimate.
