Here is how to figure the cost of running you pool pump

This depends on the length of time the pump is run each day. Typically a pool pump is required to run
8-12 hrs.
To figure the cost, use the following formula:
In this example, we have used the electrical data for a 1HP pump.
8A x 230V = 1840 Watts (Amps and Volts can be found on the motor nameplate)
1840 Watts ÷ 1000 = 1.84kWh
1.84kWh x 8 Hrs. pump operates = 14.72 kWh
14.72kWh x .07 cost per kWh = $1.03 cost per day.
Note: Look on your last electric bill for cost per kWh.

Too many variables. How deep is the pool? Say it averages 7 ft. it is going to take almost 2500 cubic ft of water to fill it. verify out your contemporary water bill and spot what they cost in line with cubic foot (recommendations you, they might have a sliding scale. Do the math. each and each month there will be some evaporation yet no longer an significant volume. inspite of the undeniable fact that, the water utilization will flow up as human beings take greater showers to eliminate the chlorine. i does not anticipate your electric powered bill to flow up greater desirable than $2 an afternoon. back, it relies upon in case you have the water circulating each and every of the time or on a timer that merely kicks in throughout the hours of use. Whoever sells you the pool could understand plenty greater effective than any human beings attempting to make a wild guess.

I can only guess the Power-Save is a device that corrects power factor. If this is true and you would heat your pool with resistive electrical devices, the savings due to Power-Save would not apply to your pool heater electricity.

I expect the savings claims are somewhat exaggerated.

You really need to hear from someone who heats their pool electrically. I see many rooftops that have the black plastic bags, with circulating water inside for heating pool water
