a similar situation happened to me a while ago, i was thinking huh? then i thought 'well, my mom can be a bit quick to judge and dismissive, because she thinks she knows my friends (which she does NOT)' so don't worry about it. it's not a problem that you're more social with girls. as for the gay part, i am not sure if that's what she meant.it doesnt matter anyways because who you hang out with doesnt define your orientation

She meant that you are a close friend to her daughter and the rest of her friends. Part of the group.
She also means that she trusts you as a person. When she said not to tell you, that meant that she did not want you to take the statement the wrong way, which is exactly what you did!!!!

Okay a) stop freaking out she was not calling you gay, that isn't even associated with gay/lesbian b) she means that you are part of the group, you are very close to them and your friends

That was probably not what she meant. I think she meant that you are such good friends that girls can talk about anything with you or around you and not worry about you being a boy. Whether or not that's a good thing is for you to decide.
