It really isn't fair and the people that complain are being hypocritical. If so many people find race generalizations by Chris Rock, others funny obviously there is some truth to it.
We are all on Cultures and Groups section. Why would such a section exist and you be on it if you weren't going to make generalization?

Every question you can ask here will make a generalization:
"What do people in Japan eat?" What country in the world has the most Buddist? Hence, it will be, Most Japanese people eat seafood' or something like that. Why does everyone address a question to one type of race/culture on here? These questions will be answered with generalizations.
If I asked, 'How do most black women have their hair?' Will answers like, braided, relaxed, pieces, be racist? But wouldn't all of these 'generalizations be roughly true?

We need to stop being so sensitive especially when we go and laugh at the movies for someone doing the same thing we are accusing someone else of

When a comedian makes a joke you can tell that he is joking because you are able to hear him, but when someone on yahoo makes a joke its really hard to tell if they are joking, you have no way of knowing it because you are not hearing them speak, however if someone was to make a joke over the Internet, I wouldn't take it so personal after all it is just the Internet, if they can't say it to your face, why worry about...hope that answers your question

Why do folks best uncover racist jokes 'offensive'? People in view that endlessly made jokes approximately some thing women, faith, blondes...and many others it is simply the way in which of humor. My opinion is that if they do not have an instantaneous insult it is cool.

Do you watch the news or listen to talk radio? I wonder about my American people--The guy from Seinfeld who made the racist comments about black people felt a backlash from the black community that was the talk of the media for weeks--I am sure he is still feeling the aftershock. Most comedians keep racist jokes to their own culture.......George Lopez, Chris Rock, Richard Pryor, Tracey Ullman,Wanda Sykes, Mo'nique, Adele Givens, Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey, Sommore, Margaret Cho, Jerry Seinfeld are comedians who became very popular due to making people laugh--in this mix of people you have Jewish, Women, Latin, Black and Asian. So maybe it is the content that they decide to comment on!

Comedians are comedians and a racist is a racist. Go to the dictionary and look up the two words. If you find that the two words have the same meaning, then you win this one. If they don't which we all know they won't you lose. I'm guessing you'll turn up the loser. If you still can't figure it out after your trip to the dictionary, then you should go back to school.

Well for most when people make jokes on others on hear then dislike the Black comedians for making supposed jokes that sometimes people overexaggerate, and something that is roughly true but you yourself and your race have problems on there own but yet you feel angry when blacks or someone that is supposed to be more inferior to yourself and get defensive about it is quite not a correct statement to make??

Since when did this become a comedy club?
Not that I object to sarcasm, lord knows I've slung my share of it, but then most people can recognize it for what it is.
But then there are those that have these big ole chips on their shoulders the size of 2 by 4's and others who just plain like to put others down because it makes them feel better about themselves.
You need to be less sensitive, ignore the ignorant savages, and go on to another answer or question.

Not all of us go to the movies and laugh at the same things. Not all of us think comedians are funny. Here is why my statements are true for myself:

If you are looking for reasons then a place to start is seeking out an understanding of the power of words. Now watch as we break down the chain of hate in society by watching how it builds itself and what it builds itself into.

The Pyramid of Hate draws an outstanding picture of the power of words. (I've included a link to it, page 7 is a diagram of the pyramid.)

>> Remember, if we erase the first step, it cannot build. If we ourselves participate in the first step, we ourselves are giving permission to every step after it to occur.

1) At the bottom (first) step of the pyramid, the large base we have things that fit there that feed the next step. Without the first step we as a society would never get to the next step (the top being genocide) The things on the first step are called "Prejudiced Attitudes":
Accepting stereotypes, Not challanging belittling jokes, Scapegoating and assigning blame to people because of their group identity.

2) The next step feeds the step after itself. This step is called "Acts of Prejudice":
Name calling, Ridicule, Social avoidance, Social exclusion, Telling belittling jokes.

3) The third step, fed by the 1st and 2nd and feeding the 4th is called "Discrimination":
Employment discrimination, Housing discrimination, Educational discrimination, Harassment (hostile acts based on a person's [group identity such as] ace, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or gender, [etc.].

4) The fourth step that wouldn't exist without steps 1-3 is called "Violence" (Against people, Against Property):
Violence against people includes: Threats, Assault, Terrorism, Murder.
Violence against property includes: Arson, Desecration (violating the sanctity of a house of worship or a cemetery).

5) The fifth and final step that every single person who has participated in any of the other 4 steps has contributed to and bears responsibility for is called "Genocide" (people anywhere in the world, by contributing in any 4 previous steps contribute locally and globally to step 5).
Genocide is defined as: The deliberate, systematic extermination of an entire people [based on their group identity].

Our words are powerful. Even if we ourselves do not wish to disadvantage other people because of their race or any other group identity, if we tell jokes, others who hear us might think that we agree with them wanting to disadvantage those people. These people, once they feel they have enough support, carry things to the next step. This is why, even if we participate in a single step, we have participated and said "yes" to every other step in the pyramid.

Good question.

Well, I think one reason is that people on Y! Answers tend to take questions seriously, whereas it is generally understood that comedians are joking, or otherwise not to be taken very seriously.

May God bless you.
