An ode is kind of like the free verse poems. You can write about anything you want. The requirements you have to have depends on what M. Y or M. H told you, but M. H didn't give us any requirements. You might want to follow the example, unless M. Y or M. H says otherwise.

an ode is an addressing poem.
there are many examples:
like ode to the west wind by P.B.Shelly,
ode to the death of closest friend,
you just have to know that it is an addressing poem.
go for a yahoo search of"ode to the west wind", read it a few times and then you will understand how to write your own.
hope this works!
