Ok. I'm thinking about getting my ears pierced. I need to know what it feels like, because I hate pain.
Is there ANYTHING it can be compared with to tell me how it feels? I really need to know.
Thanks.
Have a nice day!
:)

If any pain at all, it's a slight pinch then your ears feel like they are hot. All you feel is alot of pressure, nothing major like your gonna cry about. Uhm... To compare it to? I'm not sure...Oh! Take your thumb and first finger and press your lobe in between then applying lots of pressure, not really hard but just a little bit. That is all you feel. ( When you do that, you'll feel the hotness on your ear too like you were getting it pierced!) I have alot of piercings, 3 in each ear , so I know. :D Go for it. my ears were pieced at 6 months old, I eventually let them close up and I wanted them re pierced but was afraid of the pain, we were walking by Claires in the mall and my mum said " Now or never" so I got it done, I practically had a panic attack there in the seat but after it was done, it didn't hurt at all! I now have 4 body piercings and 6 ear piercings.

I know that whatever you will experience concerning pain won't be anything compared to my experience about 45 years ago!!!! My Mother pierced my ears for me with a darning needle. First she applied ice to freeze my ear lobe and then placed a wine bottle cork behind my lobe. She had already marked the place with a pen and then with a sterilized darning needle she pierced the lobe from the front right through to the cork!! After pulling the darning needle right through the lobe she inserted my little heart shaped earring!

Now needless to say I was frightened out of my mind but once I saw how cute that earring looked I wanted the other ear done as well.

You probably wonder why she chose this method .... well ... the earrings had been a gift but we couldn't afford to have my ears pierced. A little pain has gone a long, long way! Today I'm 51 years old and still have one of my first pair of earrings, the other was lost over the years. It truly has been worth it.

My Mother has passed away now, but every time I change my earrings I think of her and how it hurt me more than it hurt her! (Hahahhahahahah) I'm grateful for the great job she did for me.

Don't worry about it because if you've ever be given any kind of immunization shot and survived it ... piercing your ears is less painful. Today they have such wonderful, quick equipment that insert the earring at the same time.

Just make sure that it is a reputable place and that they sterilize all the equipment each time before using it. Then it becomes a matter of how well you follow instructions about turning the earrings daily and applying whatever cream that is recommended.

Believe me ... you've had scraped knees that hurt more ... and remember that it's the anticipation of pain that is far worse than the actual piercing of the earlobe itself.

Enjoy and best of luck!

Well, I had my ears peirced for a while. They don't hurt so much.

First off, they put on an antiseptic on your ears. Then they mark were you want to get it pierced. Then they take an ear-piercing gun (don't worry, it won't hurt!) with piercing studs. The piercing studs are just stud earrings with a "needled" end. They use the gun and pierce your ear with it.

I guess it's equal to getting a scrape on your knees. It should only hurt for the first one or two days (maybe only one). Leave those earrings on for 3-6 weeks.

Good luck! I hope this helps! If you need more help, go on to Wikipedia!

that's in simple terms a piercing, won't have the capacity to you wait till your sixteen? you may harm you moms and dads emotions in case you bypass in the back of their backs. No i would not harm. there is greater of of challenge of your ears getting contaminated in case you get it pierced with a gun, that's superb to get it executed with a needle (frightening i recognize) even though it truly would not harm, for a chop up 2nd it hurts a tiny bit yet then the ear is going numb. Gok Wan has stretched ear lobes, so till your making plans to stretch your ears, i'd choose for the stud. sturdy success on despite you %.

Ok first pinch the front of your hand with your nails for 5 secs. Then imagining it if you put alchohol on it after. It stings but really my sister got it done ( she is 5) and didn't cry at all. Tell them to do both ears at one time it helps. After 6hrs you will forget u even got them done

It doesn't hurt when you first do it but after a little while it starts stinging really bad and after a few days they get really sore so you can't tough then or snag them on anything cuz it'll hurt.If you want to do it though, its worth it.

it is honestly not that painful. you wil only feel pain for 5 seconds and it may be sore for about a couple days afterwards depending on the way you sleep.

It doesn't hurt at all, trust me. Don't listen to people who say that it hurts a lot. You won't even feel anything!
