Assuming this is a hypothetical question:
There is no legal reason she'd have to abdicate. Realistically, however, that is the sort of situation that could lead to the dissolution of the monarchy. The only real hope of saving it would be for Elizabeth to abdicate and Charles (who, even if he wasn't involved, was close enought to Diane to be tainted) to renounce the throne, allowing William to become King.

Daft question as it has no basis in truth. There is nothing preventing any member of the Royal Family (with one major exception - Her Majesty The Queen) from being prosecuted for any alleged crime.
In the British Constitution, the law of the land, the judges, the prisons all operate by the Authority of The Queen. The rule in law is that The Queen can do no wrong. The Queen is Head of State and answerable to God : She would not have to (nor would She) abdicate for anyone.
God Save The Queen
& let Diana respose peacefully.

Phil the Greek implimented in Murder? Never! And of course the Queen would not abdicate for this! Neither will Prince Phillip ever be accused of involvement.
We know who to blame. He was Drunk at the time, driving, and the photographers who where too close and chasing her all the time.

If this sort of thing happened, which it didn't, can't, and won't, it would not affect the rule of Elizabeth II. Phillip is only the Prince Consort, basically just the husband of the Queen, and has no real royal standing other than that.

First of all WHY would Prince Phillip stand trial for the car accident that killed Princess Diana? Second, do you mean Prince Charles? Third, do you even know what your talking about?

That's like asking if Prince William had a sex change and became a woman, would Prince Harry overtake him in the line of succession. The notion of Prince Philip having anything to do with Diana's death is pure fantasy, and a gross calumny by a pathetic man who should move on with his life. He lost his son? William and Harry lost their mother and are dealing with it better.

Nobody killed lady Diana. She died in an accident..and I heard..it hapened because of some paparazzi..What does have in common the Great Queen with the death of princess Diana? The Queen is a decent person..that leads for the name of God..while paparazzi..exceed speed limit for the name of money...If you don't need the Queen..I need Her..I lived in comuniusm when the name of God was prohibited..they said man was made by nature..while a Queen ..is suporting the Truth..saying God exists..and made the man...

As far as I am aware, there is only one person who actually thinks Pippy Edinburgh murdered Di. Few will pay much attention to one fantasist. The only result of any trial will be a massive bill for the tax-payer.

This is just a sick fantasy dreamt up by Mohammed al Fayed who has hated the Royals ever since they withdrew the 'By Appointment' sign from Harrods. I'm justt astonished that anyone remotely believes this rubbish.

Well it would never happen so this question is impossible to answer, because there would never be any proof found that he or any other member of the royal family had anything to do with her death, and anyone who got to close to finding out the truth would disappear
