I got mine done when I was 16, and my mom came with me. I think they would do it if your parent accompanied you.
It did NOT hurt at all. It was quick and easy. Everyone told me it was going to hurt and I was going to hear it pop, but none of that happened.
I have my belly button, cartilige, lobes and tragus done and none of them hurt at all. And I do not have a huge pain threshold.
Just make sure you go somewhere accredited and sterile.

It hurts a tad bit more than a regular ear piercing but it hurts just a bit, not as much as you may think. Don't ask them to freeze it either. In most states it is 16 , but others that have stricter laws can be 18 with or without parental consent. They don't really care about your age when doing ear piercings. They only care about body piercings, when I got snakebites I was only 14. My mom had to tell them I was 16. Tell your mom/dad/guardian to tell them your 16 if they ask. Like I said, it probably won't matter but just to be safe. :D I got a tragus piercing a couple months ago, I thought it was going to hurt like a monroe ( upper lip) but it didn't. It's so quick. Before you go take some kind of Tylenol or pain killer if your that worried about the pain. Good luck!

Piercing my traegus was far and away the most painful piercing I've gotten. It throbbed for days. They're also really prone to infections and rejection, FYI. I've never heard of a parlor numbing something for a client before they do the piercing: I would think that numbing a body part would tend to make it slippery. If you have a parent with you, most parlors will do it at pretty much any age, although some might require the other parent to be there as well, or ask for a signature from the other parent, saying that it's okay.

You shouldn't get this pierced until you're at least 16...18 is preferable. Your body is going thru a lot of changes that can complicate the healing process.
The tragus hurts a little more than your standard piercing, due to it being a thick little chunk of cartilidge. Numbing the location is a bad idea. First of all, it will hurt more as the sensation returns, and secondly, certain types of anesthetic can cause swelling and other complications. If you're worried about the pain, you're not ready for the piercing.

Yes it hurts-but it the pain goes away. Take your Mom/Dad with you, no reputable piercing parlor will do anyone even
earlobes under the age of 18 without a parent being present.
Take an ice bag with you, that should decrease the pain before and after-also reduces swelling. They use a needle that has a hole in it, it cores as it pierces. When they pierce cartilage they cant use the gun-it "fractures" the cartilage, causing more pain, increasing scar tissue, and prolonging healing time. Hope this helps--Good Luck.

Just like with tattoos, how much it hurts depends on the person; I have heard it hurts a good bit, though. At the shop I go to, no one under 16 can be pierced or tattooed even with consent.

I have mine done! I got it when I was 15. It hurts a little bit. I wouldn't freeze it. Thats a hard spot to hold ice on anyways. Mine made a little popping sound when the needle went through. Just take extra good care of it because mine took forever toheal and I got a little bubble on it for a while and once you get the bubble, its hard to get rid of but I did it! I cleaned it with Dial soft soap and put sea salt water on it to speed up the healing process. Its not super painful but you can hear it go through becuase of where it is on your ear. Once it's healed, I like to put libre (sp) rings in mine its real cute. They first pierced mine with a hoop though, didn't like that too much :(. Good Luck with it though! Hope this helped a little bit.

-lol- I got mine pierced at 14,so it's definetly great. My mom took me a year ago(I'm 15 now)and we had to get a permission slip notarized for like 8 bucks. The only peircing a peircer wont do is a genital or nipple(not sure on nipple, but it makes sense) on a minor, but they will def. do a tragus with parental consent. And getting it peirced isnt what hurts,it's the after math that will hurt really baaaaad. But trust me,it is SO worth it!You feel awesome after!!!
So much good luck to you!!

most places want you to be 16 with a parental consent. I've heard that it hurts really bad.

actually my friend got it done a few weeks ago, he said it hurt quite a bit, but really the worst was hearing the crunch of the cartilidge. pain is one thing, but the noise will make pretty much anyone squemish.
his got a bit infected so it hurt for a much longer time, but keep it clean and you should be fine.
