do what you have to do- I used alcohol to control my cravings for meth when I quit that and I do not have a drinking problem now, so it worked, but I also went to NA meetings and those can be really awesome and you can meet some new people and they are people that are doing the same thing you are. Good luck!

The people that said that it is not physically addictive are correct---therefore you won't go through withdrawals. Psychologically you will. Nicotine has to be the worst addiction. (some of my heroin addict friends that are still here will attest to that) I've been addicted to nicotine since age 7 and I'm 37. Caffeine is difficult to. I use to walk home from school every day in the 6th grade and walk across the street to the gas station and get a coke. One day I didn't have the money and physically---I barely made it home. I was weak and stumbling. I was raised on alcohol since age 6.

God gave every green herb bearing seed as food because He saw that it was good--- look in Genesis.

Well, since it isn't actually addictive and there are no withdrawal problems from it, the most effective way to quit would be to make that decision and then just quit. Using an actual addictive problem like nicotine or caffeine would just cause a whole new set of problems.
What is really stopping you from quitting? Maybe you need to change some other things going on in your life.
Best of luck to you!

Don't stop smoking marijuana. It renders the government mind control methods useless. Why do you think our government is work so hard to keep it off the streets. Sounds strange doesn't it? Well a lot of things do until truth comes out.

First of all, why are you quitting? Is it hindering your ability to live? Or are you quitting because it is illegal? If you are quitting because it's affecting the way you live, you either smoke way too much and need to cut back a bit, or you aren't getting just plain marijuana. If you are quitting because it is illegal, that is admirable, but it won't be illegal for long. The "War on Drugs" is a failing battle.

Realistically, Weed only has psychological addicting factors, meaning that your body is not addictive to Weed you only think your addictive to Weed. If you cut out the things that you use to do while High, ya won't want to smoke as badly. Which brings me to the serious part of this answer. Will power man, suck it up, deal with it, Weeds not like Meth or Coke, ya don't NEED it, but its fun to be stoned. As a matter of fact smoking while I write this answer. But seriously, ifen ya want to quit then do it. Do pick up another bad habit to kick this one. Especially when Weed is by far one of the best of the bad things to get involve with. Whens the last time ya got really high and started a bar fight? Or prostituted yourself out for some Weed.
