okay ive been there .....and the guy who threatend to do it believe it or not found his first wife dead she just did that.....i can only tell you that hurtfull things are said when seperating and people clutch at straws they will try anything to keep you...my advice to you is to calmly turn round and tell him that he is then having someone live with him for pity and not love...my auntie and uncle last yr also lost the son cos he commited suicide and hand on heart if there that way out they will do it anyway,,,if they have tried it before then telll his parents what he is saying and he may need help otherwise just take it as a pinch of salt and say how low can you go....honest....emotional blackmail

If he treats you bad , dont stay with him ,there is alot of other guys out there ,that will treat you good . Saying he'll commit suicide is a guilt trip . If he cant have you he doesn't want anyone else to , he needs to " grow up ".
Its his life , if he wants to shorten it , its his loss . I feel sorry for him ,if that's all he thinks his life is worth to do suicide ,that's his decision.

I've been there.... and basically all you can do is call for help for him.... like a relative or preacher/teacher ect... but just a word of wisdom... most people that TALK about suicide,, does just THAT.... T A L K ,,,, is someone is serious about suicide, most of the time won't say anything to anyone... they just DO IT.

DON'T let him put a guilt trip on you. IF he does something, and chances are he won't, it won't be your fault. He is responsible for his own actions and his own happiness. If he doesn't treat you well, tell him, and ask him if he's willing to change and if not......move on. Maybe he needs some counseling, if he's threatening things like suicide.

tell him to start treating you right or else you're going to leave even if he says he's going to kill himself, he should learn to take responsibility for his actions, after all if you were to talk to a psychiatrist about him committing suicide if you leave he would tell you that a person who really wants to take his life will never tell anyone, his dearth normally comes as a shock

Oh gosh... your stuck. How bad does he treat you? If he just ignores you all the time give him a reason to dump you. Don't cheat though that'll get'em up set probably. And if he's violet i can't help you.

Well, we know he tries to keep you in his life by blackmail. A blackmailer is not a good candidate for a life long connection is it? See that he has help available and then get out of his life.
