Kobe...open your eyes!.................not to long ago people still believed the World was flat....even after they proved it was round ......there were some people who did'nt believe it!..

yes Kobe came in the league younger..But he did'nt start...if the coach(Del Harris) was'nt a dumba$$..and let Kobe play...they may have won 2 more chips!...
take away his first 2 years(like I said he came off the bench) in the playoffs and his playoff averages jump to 26ppg....he did'nt get more because he was throwing the ball to Shaq everyother play!...plus the lakers were so dominant that alot of those games he was resting in the 4th quarter!....cause the Lakers were up by 20!

.if it were'nt for Pippen coming along MJ may have never had a winning season...5 years without Pippen and 5 losing seasons with a 1 - 9 playoff record!...On the other hand Pippen has won in Chicago without MJ..he's won in Portland(almost went to the Finals)..and in Houston!....Mj needed Pip.

Well MJ was a special case. A rare blend of special talent and a strong desire to be the best there ever was. I don't believe all that BS about being cut from his high school team but he had a fire that was never matched. Talent wise Lebron is closest but if you ever have seen him play (and I have about 6 times in person) he plays with no fire or passion. He waits for the game to come to him, MJ went out and made it happen. As for Kobe, he is a great scorer and that may be an understatement, but Kobe cares about only Kobe and would rather score 60 and lose then score 15 and win. Thats my opinion. If you want the closest to MJ.....combine Lebron and D Wade then you would be close, because D Wade is the closest to matching MJ's passion on the court and willingness to do whatever it takes to win.

People thought Bird or Magic was the best ever. But Jordan came soon after that. So you never know who will come out a star.

Kobe?........Pleeease,Not hardly. He couldn't even hold a candle to MJ. There will never be anyone that can play ball as the one and only Michael Jordan. The Chicago Bulls were never the same after they lost MJ.

kobe at this point is at the top of his career--meaning he will not get any better. but he still has not reached the level of jordan, which means that he is and will never be better than mj (although his last 4 games were very impressive)...so for all you people that say kobe is already better than mj...OPEN YOUR DAMN EYES!!!
