they absolutely should have winning records if you don't have a winning record you dont get a chance to win the superbowl.

Why does it matter? A team could pull a miracle in the playoffs and wow everyone going in as a 7-9 wild card and winning it all. That would be way more exciting than seeing a clear favorite win it (like in this last one).....What do you propose instead? Adding two playoff teams to make the top two in every division make it? There really isn't a plausible way of doing it without making divisions pointless and just being the AFC 16 and NFC 16 without North/South/East/West...I don't like that idea so much.

8-8 teams?
What about 9-7 or 10-6 teams NOT making the play-offs?
You know what I think? I think there should be 8 teams from each conference who makes it, regardless of WIN-LOSS, and teams should be ranked for their win-loss, no division champions and that crap. Because its not fair if you got stuck in a division with like the Colts and Pats or the Chargers etc. Top eight teams battle it out, everyone plays wild-card, and most importantly NO DIVISON CHAMPS....!

I do feel that teams that win their division should be acknowledged for their accomplishments. They do in the other major sports. The best games of any sport are played within the division. Those are the hardest games to win.
Because of its nature, the NFL season is too short for me. I feel at least 8 teams should get in and a tournament style playoff should be played.

All pro sports have too many playoff teams. It makes the regular season less meaningful and makes the playoffs take too long. If you don't have to even win your division to make the playoffs, then why have divisions at all?

I disagree, the playoffs are more fun with more teams, and it gives an underdog a chance to win it all.

Nope, that won't happen. The NFL likes to keep as many teams in it as possible so that they have a larger crowd of viewers. Those Wild Card games give them a couple extra weeks of loyal viewers, so they're here to stay...sorry!

Absolutely.
They need to do away with the wild cards.
But that will never happened.
TV rules those situations.
If anything they will add more playoff spots to get more TV money.
