The only thing Dubya has been consistent on for the past 6+ years is his ability to completely ignore the truth & facts when presented with them. Just look at any underhanded thing he's been involved with (Illegal wiretapping, Abu Ghraib prison, WDM's to justify going to war, ect). The one thing he keeps forgetting over & over again is that there are statements on TV, radio, newspapers that he makes that are recorded & saved. Also any of these acts also have some sort of paper trail, (Memos, E-mails, ect) that tell the truth & who authorized them. I think Gonzales will keep his job because he is a loyal "Bushie" which gives anyone a licence to break any law they want under the guise of "Fighting Terrorism".

They have proof that Gonzales lied. Why isn't Congress, then, filing some kind of charges against him? As for Bush, HE didn't lie to them and he has the right, as Clinton did, to fire any federal attorney he wants, like Clinton did, since they serve at the pleasure of the President. He doesn't have to give a reason for firing them and Congress knows it. Congress shouldn't have asked! Seems to me like a congressional fishing expedition.

They have proof. They have proof of what? Any President has the right to hire and fire anyone in their administration. Bill Clinton fired all 93 U.S. Attorney's. This is just another attempt by the dems to make a scandal out of nothing in order to keep the public concentrating on the "scandal" rather than their absence of ideas.

Because Bush is the personification of the doublespeak in George Orwell's 1984. He honestly believes that if he says it, it is therefore TRUE. There are so many examples of this not only from him but his entire administration that I've nearly lost all faith in Democracy. The American people are swallowing his bait, hook line and sinker and now believe 2 + 2 is actually 5.

Because they are all liars from Bush down. Liars honor liars, and dishonor the truthfull, the truthfull honor the truthfull and dishonor liars. The sum of it all is that everything that goes around comes around.Believe me, Bush and all the hosts in this world will pay a price profound for every deed and work and word, I promise.

It is his pattern, he backed Rumsfeld, and Libby and the ever famous Brownie your doing a great job remember, as more comes out look for Gonzo to be gone. He will quietly resign, spin a reason and Bush will be spared again.

In the late 90's Gonzalez helped prevent Bush's drunk driving conviction from becoming public knowledge. Gonzalez then lied to the Senate under oath about this incident during his confirmation hearings.

Because all lying and cheating roads lead back to the White House. Once the fabric begins to unravel its only a matter of time until the enitre cloth is undone.

It's not that big of a deal anyways. Politicians are paid liars to begin with. Clinton fired 90 judges, what's all the fuss about?
