I guess that the first question you should ask yourself is why you feel so sad? The other question you should ask yourself is who are you trying to please? Yourself or all who are around you? If you are trying to please all who are around you, then more than likely, you will spend your whole life trying to do so. Try finding a new group of friends who share the same common interests that you have. Everyone is "different" in their own ways and that is what makes all of us unique. You stated that you feel like you are never loved. Is that feeling from your friends or your family. If it is from your family, try asking someone (mom, dad, aunt, brother, sister...) why you may be feeling this way. If the feeling comes from the way your "friends" treat you, then find new friends immediately. The ways you are feeling depend on your age as well. You stated that you are in school. I am assuming that you are either in middle or high school. Am I correct? If you are, then you are not alone. My son is almost 14 and felt the same way you did last year while in old school. He, too, felt unloved, wanted, or needed. He only felt this way until he brought it to my attention and we worked through it together. He now has a few friends who share the same interests and he is now much happier not only with his friends, but with himself. I, too, am willing to work through this "part of growing up" with you if you would like someone to talk to. I wish you luck in all you do in this world and you are a likeable person. I can tell because you took the time to sit down and seek some answers. Take care!! Jennifer

I always feel this way. What helps me is getting LOTS of sunlight, since warm weather and sun makes me happy. Also, doing what I love helps a lot, which for me is writing fiction and hanging out with great friends helps too. I'm taking classes in tae kwon do which gets me out and meeting new people. Everyone is different from everyone else in the world. No two are exactly alike, unless they're twins or something. People try to create molds for the world, to be able to fit everyone into a mold, but you can't. Hope this helps to make you happy!

Don't be sad. You are not the only one who feel this way in this world. I do too feel like I am an outcast everywhere I go. I always feel I am so 'different' from others. I think it's because people's stereotypical idea of what kind of a utopia should look alike. When they see something different they isolate and alienate it automatically because nobody really likes something that is different from their own limited conservative preconceived notions. But it's good to be different. Alikeness and homogenity is a boredom and unchallenged.

I feel I am different from everyone else - and that makes me happy cause why would I want to be like everyone anyways?
Maybe you can focus on the positive aspects on being different?
