I agree with you. Its about time that someone made a movie where the humans go to a different planet. Suggest your idea to a producer or director, or even anyone who works in the media business. I do think that there is other live among us, it just might take a while to find them.

Interesting questions so many answers, to answer the first part about finding there planet(s). We simply don't have the technology to travel through space a rocket wont get you far and peering through a telescope wont find life because the picture we see is very very old because the light takes years to reach us, as for aliens living among us who knows what sort of technology they have if they can travel at the speed of light or even faster then that means we would have to rewrite the rule book for everything. Only time will tell we humans like to think we are allot smarter than we really are but we only have each other to make a comparison. If aliens are traveling through space our planet would look like a very old outdated out of fashion so last era.

Firstly, not every unidentified object you see in the sky is a spacecraft. In fact, there are numerous atmospheric phenomena that humans have yet to identify. That's not even taking into account the large volume of phenomena that have already been identified by human beings. Ball lightening, and other electrical effects may appear as unnatural luminous orbs in the night sky, for example.
If an extraterrestrial civilization were to visit the earth, I believe they would most likely send a robotic (unmanned) spacecraft. And about their motivations for visiting us, there is no way to anticipate that. Their motivations and behavior would be totally alien (completely different) from our own.
I would like to say that I believe it to be mathematically improbable that our planet hasn't been visited at some point in the past. The universe is so huge, and has been around for such a long time that it is impossible to believe that at least one robotic probe hasn't made a close pass to the earth. Think about it, a huge civilization, billions of years advanced, with nothing but time on its hands, and probably the manufacturing capability to dispatch millions of probes to all parts of the galaxy.
We humans have so far failed to detect the presence of other non-human civilizations. I think this is probably because we don't know what to look for, that is they probably use a more advanced form of communication than the kind of radio waves we use today. We have only been using radios for 100 years, and are already replacing them with laser-provided communication systems. Therefor, the time a civilization spends using radio communications is probably very short, which would explain why we haven't had any luck detecting radio signals from other worlds.
If aliens were living among us, they would probably have the ability to totally hide their existence from us, and we wouldn't even know they were here.

The chemistry of life on this planet is almost incomprehensible in its elegance, sophistication and diversity. It is an absolute marvel. We don't have the ability to travel to other solar systems because of the great distance. It would take us thousands of years to reach any other solar system with our current technology. I don't think aliens could live on this planet if they evolved elsewhere. Their biochemistry would not likely allow them to metabolize the complex chemicals that make up our bodies. They may exist and I think the Earth would be an incredibly interesting place for intelligent life from another solar system to investigate. The evidence is not completely convincing that we have been visited.

Hey, it's so much FUN! to believe in UFO's and visiting aliens with anal probe technology (WHAT is with that!) arriving by the thousands across many light years of space (if all were true; we must be pretty damn interesting) and government cover-up conspiracies! When the actual truth is we are on a small mote of a planet circling about an average star in a run-of-the-mill galaxy in a boring and normal part of the universe.

simple. humans have only been around for tens of thousands of years. 50k years ago, we were monkeys and didn't even comprehend space travel. only in the past few hundred years have we thought about traveling through space to other stars. but as of now, we can't even leave our solar system. if you think its a far journey to get to saturn, to get to another star is a lot further.
But aliens might have been around a lot longer than us so they're probably better at space travel than us. they know how to get to earth from their planet but we have no clue how to get there or where there is.
If we found a planet in another solar system with nothing but monkeys on it, don't you think we'd visit that planet often to check up on them and see how advanced their technology is coming. to make sure those alien monkeys haven't figured out how to make interstellar atomic missiles and stuff.
if we found aliens that were not as advanced as us we would keep tabs on them.

I can't tell you how advanced a civilization would be to be able to get around the speed of light problem while going on a visit to us. I can promise you this; If it is possible, the civilization so advanced that has the ability to cross the solar system in less than 100,000 years would find us way too poring to even visit.

Stargaze has pinned it pretty well where it belongs.
In general though aliens do proliferate throughout the universe but none ever has or ever will visit earth. We may never have any proof that they exist but they surely do.
UFOs anyone?

Who is to say that they are coming to earth?
Maybe they were here before us.
We've only chartered less than 10% of our waters and we are not able to get down to some depths.
Also travel needs not be linear or lightspeed.
Dimensional doors/portals AKA Bermuda Triangle can be the way.

Let's start with your first question.
Have you got ANY evidence that we have EVER been visited?
