HOLY SH*T!!!! This is a horrible thing to do to your baby! You should never mix fromula and cereal in a bottle. A bottle is for LIQUID ONLY. Cereal is for a bowl and spoon! You baby is going to eat too much and be obese!!!

Please stop doing this! You are hurting your baby.!

You can really use any kind of bottle and nipple and either use a large hot needle (as mentioned) to make the opening bigger or using a small, sharp-tipped scissors to cut the X in a nipple. Make it as small as possible and then test on the baby. Make it bigger only if the baby seems to be struggling so he doesn't get too much at once.

Hey folks, 95% of the adults you know were raised on whole milk and Gerber baby cereal IN A BOTTLE and that includes your pediatrician, so relax.

Wow, don't you love how everyone on here felt it SO necessary to lecture you about putting cereal in the bottles to begin with? Holy crap.........just answer the question people...
that being said......

I had to put cereal in my 5 week old baby's bottles. I used the Gerber stage 3's......the have big holes, but are not X cut so he does not get so much at once. I switched her to Enfamal AR (severe acid reflux) so I did not have to do that any more. But I still put cereal in her nighttime bottle. And now that my baby is older she uses the X cuts on her bedtime bottle because she is old enough to drink it faster. Plus the AR with the rice cereal is really thick........

Mixing cereal in a bottle will lead to poor eating habits and can cause your baby to aspirate the cereal. Putting cereal in bottles is dangerous and shouldn't be done. If you want to give your baby cereal, do it on a spoon from a bowl!

I had some nipples that were called tri-flow i believe, and they fit the even flo bottles. It has a way that you can adjust the flow of the milk, it had low medim and fast or high. My son had no problems getting the milk out with these nipples/bottle.

Unless it is medically necessary and prescribed by your doctor, you should not be feeding your baby cereal through a bottle. Among other things, the baby can aspirate in the cereal and choke.

If your doctor told you to do this, I am sure he has suggestions.

You really shouldn't mix the cereal in the bottle. It's not good for your baby at all. It causes severe gas and pain. Also the whole point of giving your child cereal is to teach him to eat, not to fill their belly so they sleep. If you having problems with feeding you should talk to his pediatrician.

I think you can buy nipples for that purpose. Instead of a dotted hole(s) in the nipple there's a X type of hole. I believe Gerber makes it.
