borat is a wolf in sheeps clothing, he has got rich making peasants out to be idiots, patriotism in the USA is admirable, as long as the oil is flowing, however borats cynical humour is just a piss take of people who have opportunity, wealth and the freedom to enjoy it. He makes himself look a pratt.

No problem. Try going to a footie match in the UK and hearing the abuse thrown at various countries/groups/other clubs and their supporters. I think the woman's points were valid, leaving Mr Cohen nowhere to go with his humour. The man, hearing of his flag being abused showed the same kind of restrained ire I hear in Britain. Incidentally, as a Viet Vet he was probably subjected to a lot of abuse from the drug-using hippies when he returned. To show a love for his country despite that, and recognsing it as one of the unfortunate by-products of democracy, actually makes me admire Americans more.
