how to redye a sun faded straw bag?

the bag is a lime green Charter Club Classic, that was hung on a hat tree in front of a window

get some rit dye in a color close to what you want, follow the directions, but instead of doing it in a washing machine, do it in a bucket. Use very hot water, stir it really well, and soak the bag in water first, before you dip it in the dye. Then rinse it and let it dry naturally

I don't think a straw bag will hold up to being soaked in water. The fibres will break down.
