I had to get a new computer cuz my e-machine(sucks) crashed..so i have a compaq now. it has 986 MHz and 448 MB of RAM. We didnt have enough money to get any thing else. All that i have added to my computer is aol, aim, and my KODAK software for my camera. i STILL need to put itunes on for my ipod and a music downloading thing. But it said i didnt have enough memory to put itunes on?? i barely have anything on my computer so why is it telling me this. Does my computer suck? Should i buy more memory? If so, how much would more memory cost and how much more should i get??

thanks in adance!

Your computer isnt top of the line. But yet it fast enough for what you need it for. People tend to go overboard on computers as if they are getting ready to work on the digital effects of a star wars movie you get what I mean right?

I do suggest you add more memory you probably have 512MB Installed and about 32MB of that is being shared by an onboard video card. Add Another 512MB to your system If you buy it at best buy your looking to spend around $80.00 If you buy it online youl probably spend Around $35.00 + Shipping

as far as my experience goes in respect of the speed the ram is ok. watch the performances of your pc adding programs each at a time so u can judge better if slow-downs or problems happen, things that would imply the need of more ram
