Promotional reasons. Not everyone knows that Dwayne Johnson is the Rock, he is mostly known as The Rock, they continue to use it to sell more tickets.

The Rock " is what he became famous for. Since He does movies more people recognize him as The Rock over Dwayne Johnson, so it promotes more movie sales.

The WWE owns the rights to the name "The Rock". Dwayne Johnson, as a promotional gig needs permission from the WWE to use this name

"The Rock" sounds way more bad *** than Dwayne Johnson, also, people know him as The Rock, so that's the name that's gonna put the butts in the seats

firstly because he is known more as The Rock then his real name and secondly he holds the copyrights of his name
which means everytime he uses his The Rock name he gets paid for it
