The Royals announced that heralded prospect Alex Gordon, the second overall draft pick in 2005, will be the club's starting third baseman this season, a reward for his fine spring. He hit an RBI double in the first inning and a two-run double in the third.

If he starts off to a fast start - pitch around him. He will be surrounded by 8 guys who would be backups on any other team. Sorry to say, but KC will not be good again this year, and Gordon will be doomed on a bad team. And he is only a rookie. He will not win ROY hitting against the Central all year.

Not Sure, you'll have to check KC's website regularly to find out.

But I tell ya what, if he does I really think KC will surprise a lot of people this year. I see them fighting the whiney sux for 4th place, and winning.
