I have been crossdressing for 6 yrs now and I'm ready to explore new horizons but I just can't take that last step. I have been online in chat rooms for awhile now. I even have photos of myself but I never showed my face. I have in the last 3 months taken face pics and even appeared on cam showing my face in make up and a wig. I get alot of compliments on how on look. I was wondering whats the easiet way to break the news to family and friends.

Open the door. Closets are for clothes.
The people who love you are still going to love you. Gather information they may need to be educated on the subject. The more people know, the easier it is for them to accept rather than judge.

Can I ask, why do you feel the need to tell your family and friends? Are you planning to wear the crossdressing clothes for longer periods of time, and outside of the bedroom/home?
If youre not, and the crossdressing has mostly a sexual nature (and is not a lifestyle orientation), do they need to know?
If you are, then Good Luck and just tell them privately individually about this side, this part of yourself. Starting with the those most likely to be receptive. If they are fully accepting of gay people , then that should hopefully be a good guide that they more likely to accept your crossdressing.

Well, tell them directly the truth about yourself. No hesitations or doubts at all for their reactions. They might become so uneasy with you in the beginning or even refuse you. But they are the one who have to deal with this real life issue. This is sort of like a test for them to show who and what they really are. sit them down in a calm setting and start to tell them how this is your life and that you have thought about this for a while before coming to then the tell them about the cross dressing see how they feel then try and let them know that what they say to you will have an impact on you
