If you can have everything you want. Everything you want to own then wouldn't that make you numb to everything and eventually become miserable?

People like Britney Spears, in her mind, have gotten everything she ever wanted in life. So look at her now. I believe that's why she is going insane from numbness to life.

Absolutely not! There is so much more to life than "having things"! There is family, and the relationships that we have with them, our friends, they have nothing to do with owning anything.
Of course there is our relationship with God, and the promise of eternity spent in heaven! What an awesome prospect!
Even if we could own whatever, there is still the opportunity to help others, to benefit the human race in someway, leading others to Christ, helping the starving, the homeless, there are so many "causes" out there.
Never could I be numb to the opportunities that abound! God bless!

To have everything I wanted would be material to some degree. Mostly though, to live in a place that's always warm and sunny. However, I still wouldn't get bummed out by it because I'm also a writer, and I love to write. I've always got new ideas in my head that just have to come out and be put onto paper. I also agree with the friends and family. There is always more to life than material things.

it's impossible to get everything you want no matter how rich or pwerful you are...there will always be the one item outside your grasp...or the one person who you want so badly that you'd do anything for but they won't give you the time of day. Also even if this was possible then why are you concentrating on material goods? you should start to concentrating on the more impotant things in life such as love, humanity, our worldwide problems...if you have enough that you are personaly satisfied then you should try to help others reach their goals

After you've obtained them, you should look forward to the pleasure of consuming or spending time with them.

That purile comment about Britney Spears smells like sour grapes. No, I'm not a fan. Let's not give ourselves excuses not to try our best to work for the things we want.

No one has ever had everything in this life; everyone experiences problems and sorrow. There are many things we have no control over, even in the best of circumstances.
