Ok, does anyone else think that American idol stinks this year?

Ok, i think that this is definetly the downfall of American Idol they alll stink (some of them can sing but i mean honestly) they show isnt interestring. Some of my friends think that the votes are set and you know what after Chris got voted off last year i started to beleive them. And this year i mean there are no good singers and the only good singer got voted off(Brandon). Ok some of the people can sing but i dont think they are American Idol worthy. i bet you that next year they have a third of thier usuall watchers stop watching. Anyone else think it stinks this year?

well... the problem is that after Taylor Hicks won people were like WTF. If you watch the show you know Chris is way better than Taylor. I think this season is Whack!. I tried to watch it but its just not interesting. You are definitley not alone.

Ok, Lakisha Jones is GREAT, and so is Melinda Doolitle ,(and Jordin Sparks isn't bad either) but Sanjaya has GOT to go!!! Pretty much all the guys this year are horrible, but Sanjaya is the worst. The one good GUY was Brandon Rogers (I STILL can't believe he got knocked off!). There are three good GIRLS that I listed earlier, but the fourth is no longer on the show (Stephanie Edwards). I do agree that they have a horrible round up this year. I myself vowed that if Sanjaya Malakar wins this year, I will NEVER again watch American Idol. Yes, I do agree with you on your theory about votes. I used to think they were set since Kelly Pickler got knocked off. Now I know they aren't, they're just fixed. I hear that Sanjaya's family (the Malakar family) got together a network to vote for him and persuade people to vote for him. Another thing is V.F.T.W. (Vote For The Worst). They try to convince people that American Idol isn't really a talent search, and to make American Idol a joke by voting for the worst (A.K.A. Sanjaya!). My point: Yes, American Idol DOES stink this year, partially because the votes are fixed, the larger part being the terrible line up (I still love Lakisha!). Probably, (and hopefully!) only a third of the usual viewers will be watching. American Idol deserves it for letting all this stuff fly (it's almost as if that's what they want!).
P.S. If your a Chris Daughtry fan, he's touring now in Boston, so if you live near Boston or are in the area, maybe you can get tickets! :D

i agree but i dont think that brandon was the only good singer!! u've got 2 bring ur A-game when u perform and if ur voice is cracking and ur forgetting words u should get voted off...but i do think that the judges should be monitering who gets voted off!! not the fans!! because if the judges were monitering that gay indian guy sanjaya would have been gone the first week!! i have no idea who keeps voting for him...he sucks!! I dont think it stinks this year but a lot of the flavor is gone!! I do think that lakisha melinda and blake are the best singers!! they should be in the final 3

I disagree. Jordin is awsome and I think she will win. Blake is very fun to watch and he's quite an entertainer (he reminds me of Sting). I think it's in his blood. Melinda is a wonderful singer, though I admit she probably isn't marketable for reasons I won't get into here. Lakisha is very talented and she reminds me a little bit of Queen Latifa.

Haley isn't my cup of tea, but she's a knockout and she would be great in theatrical musicals. Phil needs to coolify his image. Maybe a pair of yellow lens glasses to distract us from is head, ears, and brows. Chris Richardson is too nasaly for me and he just looks goofy into the camera. Chris Sligh... I liked him but, again, I don't think he's marketable.

Gina is good but I think she was born too late. She would have been hot back when Pat Benatar and Joan Jett were all that.

There's just no explaining why Stephanie was voted out when she was. Vocally, she has it going on, and she has a bright, fresh face that America would have loved. She just needed someone to help her dress more hip. Her short hair reminds me of Natalie Cole.

Sanjaya is only there because of the efforts of 12 year old girls and also Votefortheworst.com, who is trying to sabbotage the voting. That and possibly being that so many call centers are in India, maybe the American Idol votes go there, and the Indians are re-routing them for their boy, Sanjaya. He's just awful.

I think that after so many years of being on tv many people now expect what will happen. Also with websites out there such as Votefortheworst.com and others this makes the experience of watching the show less enjoyable. However the producers of te show are trying to up the ratings by adding new twists to the show, that will be apparentlater in the season.

I always used to love American Idol, but after Carrie all the seasons went downhill, I mean what trhe heck was with that Taylor Hicks guy? And why the heck is that retarded Sanjaya guy still there? This season is definately crappy, and I hope next year is better, or else I might not watch it anymore.

Sanjaya and Howard Stern are really screwing it up this time around. Brandon was voted off because he forgot the words to his song. Last year, the voting got messed up so half of Chris's votes went to Kat. And don't say tehre are no good singers. Melinda, Lakisha and Jordin are really good.

I agree. There's no real talent on the show this year. I started watching Season 4. There was Carrie, then last season there was Chris Daughtry and Katharine McPhee. This year, there's no one who stands out as their own person, as a true, talented singer. True, there are a couple who can really sing, but they still don't STAND OUT, you know?
The show has been flushed down the toilet this season.
Plus there's the possibility that Sanjaya might win. *shudder*

This is my first year watching it. I don't understand how Sundance got voted off. My favorite to win is, of course, Melinda Doolittle. She's got what it takes. The thing with all the girls voting for Sanjaya is ridiculous. He's not a better singer than all of them. I am disappointed in what this show had to offer.

after Chris got voted off last year i didn't watch much. this year we only watched the try outs. i think that has been the best part so far this year but even the tryouts weren't as good as they were in the past. this year the show defiantly sucks.

The only thing that sucks is Sanjaya is still there and good singers aren't,I think theres a lot of good singers but some how they are leaving and Sanjaya is staying.
