Laparoscopy?

Question

How bad did it hurt after you got a Laparoscopy (if you have had one). I am not sure if i will be in the mood to have a friend over. I know everyone is different but i want to hear from others what it was like.

i have had that is usually a out-patient thing it depends what they are doing, but its a small scar and it takes a few days to feel better

When I had my gall bladder out, they did it laparoscpic, I really didn't have any discomfort at all but I also had a friend tell me to NOT lay down flat for 24-36 hours after surgery. She said when they do it, they actually blow up with gas and if you lay flat, the gas will get up under your rib cage and hurt like hell until it works its way out. I stayed in the recliner for 36 hours and had no problems. I wasn't ready for visitors for about 36 hours because I was still tired from the anesthesia.

It hurts very little. The pain meds they give you after make you feel REAL nice. It's a lot better than having an open surgery.

I've had i t done. It is a little uncomfortable afterwords. Your stomach is a little bloated and sore, (it almost feels like period cramps.), All I wanted to do was sleep when I got home. It's really up to you. Good luck.

everyone is different. I had one and went out to dinner inthe evening. There may be some pinching and discomfort. i could not wear jeans for awhile. pressed onthe incisions inthe navel. you will be fine. Good Luck

I'm not sure what that is. Just exactly WHERE does the scope go? I've had one down my throat, and it's not too pleasant, but not that bad either. They dope you up good.

hurts a little, they put you under normally. Minimal scaring
