Like In "DVD -R" or DVD +R, DVD ± R or DVD± RW. same with CD. What is the difference between +R and -R and -rw. all of them.

It's all so confusing

+ and - are invented by different consortiums/groups. It's kinda like VHS vs. Betamax. Don't worry about the difference, as you don't need to know *how* they are different.

The +/- just means the drive will take both kinds.

Also the RW stands for rewrittable.
