Also I don't have a full windows system such as xp,millenium or 98. What is my best option!

A disk doesnt get corrupt /scratched maybe. Next Id get on Ebay they sell for around $15.00.If youd like write me back and ill sell you one on Ebay.The one I got is factory Its for a T1842 remember if you do buy one get the right model #,cause thats why I got this one,I needed a T1740.Hey better Yet take it to a Used cd /dvd store they have those machines that polish it new.Takes out scrtches .Or call to see if they do have one, I take mine and its about $5.00

first i would contact emachine and see if they can send you another recovery cd. if they can not, then you are looking to purchase a retail version of the os software, and then hope you can find the drivers that came with the emachine system. worst comes to worst, look at putting Ubuntu, a linux free distribution and you will have access to email, internet and most word processing etc. features.

not much unless you have a partition devoted to recovery.you may have to bite the bullet and buy new windows..good luck
