Don't listen to the girl above me. I think tennis would be fine as long as you aren't playing the top players, thats when it gets tough. Badminton (not badmitten) might have seemed easy for her because she had just seen the "backyard" version. If she played badminton with better players, she would see that you need to have long endurance and strength to last through the games. So if you want to choose Tennis that is fine. I played both and Tennis was not that demanding at all. Let me just say this. There was this very overweight girl on the tennis team but in badminton, everyone is not. -_-
But the question is: do you want to get more athletic with the sport or do you want to play a sport but not be athletic?
If you don't really want to do anything, choose softball.

If you're not athletic Tennis is a NO. I play & you have to have more endurance in tennis then any other sport. You run10x more than any other sport. Tennis is also a very mental sport, you must know more about your oppononent & your + their game. You also must know your spins, top & back are the most common, & every angle that would suit the best shot & staying under control. Tennis is a NO. If you want a sport try badmitten, no offense.

just go to your local y and try a few to see what you like. There are mostly friendly people. vollyball or tennis even softball. You will like the people you meet and have fun doing this. You might even make friends to go to the gym and work out with.

Raquetball is a great workout, doesn't take a lot of expensive equipment and burns a lot of calories. Golf is good too, but more expensive.

ooh - girls shouldn't play sports. You'll get big calves, or meaty arms.......not at all appealing. Take up cooking - much more useful in life. It's not like there's any future in women's sports.
