Wiessmuller made his first Tarzan film in 1932, Crabbe in 1933. These were not made as a series for TV though. In 1958, Gordon Scott filmed three episodes of Tarzan for a prospective tv series. The idea did not sell, and in 1966 the three pilots were edited into a 90-minute television feature called Tarzan and The Trappers.
