This release makes no sense. Release a good qb, on a terrible team for someone who hasn't proved anything.
The Texans with releasing their rb might not have been a bad idea, if they had drafted Reggie Bush last year. A injured Williams is better than any rb on their roster now.

This is the worst managed team in the NFL. They could have easily traded Reggie Bush for something last year and got bent out of shape because the offers were not good enough - stupid. Now they cut their former top picks in the draft. Davis and Carr's success totally depends upon the offensive line - which bites in Houston and always has. They will find homes on other teams and if given adequate lines to work with - they'll do far better then they did in Houston.
Houston could be getting the #1 pick next year....and they deserve it.

I think that releasing Carr was a mistake. The offensive line was a joke, giving him no time to pass and causing him to be sacked too much. Carr shouldn't have a hard time latching on with a team that needs a decent QB who is capable of winning games given a line that isn't like a sieve. I don't see Houston doing anything with Schuab as their QB, and without a decent RB.

Carr has been running for his life since he started in Houston.
How can you have a successful carrer at QB if you don't have time to throw the ball.
I think he did a heck of a job considering what he had to work with.
Instead of getting new QBs and RBs they need to spend some money on an offensive line.
Davis/Williams is a very good RB, but he is way too injury prone. They can't sit around forever waiting for him to heal just so he can get hurt again.

Any time something as shocking as this happens, there will be news, regardless of team loyalties. For a team to give up both their starting QB and RB in the same off-season is rare. It is even rarer when the team is lousy and they are the only diamonds in a pile of turd that is the Houston Texans.

I'm a Houston Texan fan and I promise you this we will be in the playoffs next year. Daivd Carr was garbage and yes Davis/Williams was a awesome awesome RB but he was always injured. The Texans are going in the right direction.

This will bite them in the butt like drafting Mario Williams over Reggie Bush...They should have released the offensive line, not the offensive leader...
