The rumor that he's gay was started by a Maryland radio DJ, Russ Parr, as an April Fool's Day joke. Note: joke!
Here's his response to the broohaha that ensued:
"The statements made about Usher on Friday, April 1, 2005 were merely part of an April Fool's joke. The statement that you quoted onwebsite was a part of the joke and was not intended to be taken seriously, nor was it intended to defame Usher or his image. I am a big fan of Usher and his work. In my opinion, his talent supersedes anything in his personal life including his sexuality; either way I do not believe that he is gay or bi-sexual. I stated several times on the show that day that it was all an April Fools' joke. I have the utmost respect for Usher as an artist and as a person and would never do anything to intentionally harm him or his career."

Usher is not gay. An April Fool's Day joke goes public. The rumor of mega star Usher Raymond's sexuality started out as a joke and went wrong..way wrong.

NO USHER IS NOT GAY....TRUST ME AND I DON'T BELIEVE THAT HE HAS HIV..... PEOPLE IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS GET ALOT OF RUMORS AND HATRED THATS WHAT BUSINESS IS ALL ABOUT ESPECIALLY IN THE HOLLYWOOD WORLD. You shouldn't belive it until youve heard it come out of Ushers mouth. Rumors don't hold any truth until proven by the person concerning the rumor.

Usher has never said that he is either gay nor HIV positive, therefore...rumor.

both, you should know all men on tv have to wear makeup to look pretty and are gay making them more susceptive to HIV
