I feel your pain. I have very thick and naturally curly hair. My suggestion is using shampoos and conditioners that have great moisturizing properties. I use Herbal Essences Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (smells like coconut and comes in a blue bottle) I also use the Pantene Conditioning mask. Wash your hair with the shampoo and rinse. Then apply the Pantene conditioning mask. Keep a brush in the shower and brush it through your hair taking out all of the tangles. It will need to stay in your hair for at least 5 minutes so go ahead and wash the rest of you and then rinse it out. Next apply the Herbal Essences conditioner. (I do this because I like the way it smells more than I do the Pantene)

I do have hair straighteners and they do work but I have so much hair that it takes forever to straighten it. So what I usually do when I get out of the shower is put some mousse in it and some frizz control creme (also by Herbal Essences) and my hair will curl up and lay in ringlets. I don't personally use a hair dryer because of the frizz factor.

As far as how to style it, it depends on how long your hair is. If you're looking to add body to your hair, you might want to have your hairstylist cut layers in your hair, it will give it some bounce.

Hope this helps!

Have you gotten it thinned at a salon before? You should definitely get it thinned out, it will help you control it a million times better. When you blow dry it, start with the bottom section of your hair first and pull the rest up. If you want it straight, once you have dried that first section, smooth some anti-frizz serum through the dried section and they use a flat iron to flatten it. Then go to the next small section of hair, dry it, use a little serum and the flat iron again. Do this until you have done your entire head of hair. Your hair should be much more sleek and smooth and pretty.

Um, I think you should shave your head bald and then start over. Ok, not really. maybe you should get it cut short though. then use lots of conditioner, brush it often, learn to use a blow-dryer, and if you need a straightner, use ceramic. i like revlon the best. you might also try a serum to stop frizziness and a hair-spray to keep it in place. hope this helps!

some situation here, i rarely wear my hair down but when I do, I put some gel it prior to blow drying, it is super gorgeous when I finish, granted it takes longer to do thick hair but we look better for spending the time!

Cut it all off. That is what i'm getting ready to do. Go short short pixie and buy some good hair wax.

U need to find a Hair stylist that works with your type of hair, and is familiar how to work with your type of hair.

shave it! :) and u can start all over again and maybe it will turn out differently next time. OR just put it in a messy bun. its better than shaving it. :)

try putting your hair in a messy bun. its super cute and hides how big and poofy your hair is! works on me, lol ;)
