no, it is understandable that you are upset. I get upset too at the ignorance. Lately I get frustrated when people assume every Hispanic is "Mexican". Even my best friend does it. Drives me nuts and I don't know how to correct her.

I think you have a valid point. Far too many people are hurt by the social ignorance that promotes those biased opinions. I am also surprised that, within many racial sub-cultures, you often hear the very same words that are 'offensive' when spoken by someone outside of a given sub-culture, used as an 'okay' expression when spoken by someone of that same sub-culture to which the word or phrase refers. I think that a term considered to be offensive or a 'slur' at one point in time should be seen as such 100% of the time.

We're all guilty of it at one point in our lives.....just think what you've said about 'always' something (have you ever said, "it always rains when I wash my car)---even if it is about cooking, or the weather or some small stupid thing. I think we all do it and because I'm guilty too, I'm not throwing any stones.

you definitely have a point
I'm polynesian and I'm sick of hearing when people first meet me and I tell them I'm polynesian "How come your not fat" or "your not dark enough to look like a polynesian"..and there's lots more stupid generalizations I have to put up with too but I don't want to go on and on forever!!!!

IT'S CATEGORIZING. IT'S JUST LIKE THE LABELED SPOT LEFT OF YOUR SCREEN WHEN YOU PICK ONE TO ANSWER. IT'S JUST THE IGNORANCE, OF ONES, WHO SEE ALL CATEGORIES AT THE TOP OF IT BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET TO>POLLS AND SURVEY'S, FROM THAT WINDOW. ONES WHO KNOW, HOME(ALL CATEGORIES)>ENTERTAINMENT AND MUSIC>POLLS & SURVEYS. YOU HAVE A 'SHARP' POINT AT THAT!
