Also, if she is overdue and the wait begins to be too long, intercourse can help induce labor. Its a reallly healthy thing for her to do.
Late in her pregnancy, vaginal intercourse could become a little uncomfortable, so she can do other kinds of sex to help her relax, etc. Most women can have sex throughout their pregnancy, but if they start labor or their water breaks, they should not have sex.

the doctor will have to judge that for the female
it doesn't do anything to the baby. the canal and uterus and not joined its not like you would be poking the kids head

Surely, they can up to nearly the time of birth. But I think there comes a point at about 7 months that they really don't want to anymore.
