Need it for school, is supposed to be two pages, needs clues and a red herring.

It's a detective novel and can't be too long. I was thinking something with peanut allergies but it's really a murder or something? Any ideas....

(i don't want comments on my idea i need ppl to build on it)

Peanut allergies are very potent and can easily lead to a person's murder. Now the question is motive and conflict. Set you story someplace that seems innocent, but is not, perhaps school or a party or something. Choose and describe characters well, let's say they have odd personalities or they have some real hatreds going on between them (two girls who are both after the same guy?). Oh yes, this could be delicious, pass the nuts please .... aaarrrrgggghhhhhh

It's pretty hard to sneak peanuts into anything, particularly if the people surrounding the victim, are aware of their allergy. You might try a device like having the victim be a hypodchondriac who takes a lot of pills and capsules. That way, anyone in his own household could fill a capsule with peanut butter, even weeks before he takes it, and be far away when the person dies.

you should have James Ownitson, star detective in Greenwich with a peanut allergy. a person called Hank Toms is murdered and his daughter hires James, but Hank worked in a peanut factory and causes him an allergic reaction when you get near him...

Since this is for school and YOUR the one getting a grade, I don't think people should be doing this for you or else it will be like THEY are getting the grade. Good luck though.
