Book Antiqua is good, but avoid Times New Roman / Roman Times - very good for articles using columns or short paragraphs, though tiring on the eye for extensive reading. Palatino is good and Georgia is becoming fashionable as well. Both are clear and easy on the eye.

Times New Roman or Book Antiqua. Either is acceptable for publication.

I like Verdana or Tahoma the best. It's easier on the eyes.
